The pumps are fitted with an open or closed impeller, which is mounted on the end of the drive shaft and enclosed by a large circular chamber and a baseplate with machined insert. The suction opening in the baseplate is directly in contact with the fluid to be pumped. The rotation impeller transmits kinetic energy to the fluid which is centrifuged in the ring chamber, where part of the kinetic energy is transformed into pressure energy, The particular design of the impeller optimizes hydraulic efficiency, while allowing the pump to handle muddy fluids containing solids in suspension and short fibres without danger of clogging. |
